Trimmer Method Promotion Rules

Thank you for promoting The Trimmer Method.

These rules keep refunds low, keep buyers happy and keep your ClickBank account safe. Please read them before you send your first email or ad.

Google and Bing Advertising

You may advertise on Google and Bing only after your page has been reviewed. Read the paid search rules before you set up a campaign.

Do Not do Brand Marketing

Affiliates are not allowed to bid any brand keywords like “Trimmer Method”, “Fasting For Weight Loss and Detox”, “Food Addiction: Breaking The Habit”, “Speed Up Your Weight Loss”, and the other bonus titles.

Do Not Use False Representation

As an affiliate, you are not allowed to falsely promote yourself as the owner or creator of any Trimmer Method product.

Do Not Link Straight to the Order Form

Every buyer must see Tracey’s sales page before the order form. Links, pages or ads that skip the sales page and send people straight to the ClickBank order form are not allowed, and neither is any site that copies or pretends to be the official Trimmer Method site. Use the links from the Promotion Links page: they all open a sales page.

Do Not Use False Negative Marketing

You are not allowed to market using negative strategies. This includes using words like fraud or scam in your ads or in your copy.

Do Not Spam Your Email Lists

Do not Spam your email lists when promoting any Trimmer Method product. Do not send unsolicited emails.

Do Be Clear and Upfront

Tell your list or audience that you earn a commission when they buy through your link. Ready-made wording is in the disclosure section below.
For more rules and good practice, read ClickBank’s guidelines.

Advertising on Google and Bing

You may promote The Trimmer Method on Google and Bing once your page has been reviewed.

These rules apply to every paid search campaign. They match the guidance on the Keywords page.

Do Have Quality Websites

Your ads must point to a real page of your own with original content that helps the reader. A thin page filled with the free articles from this area will not pass. The ready-made presell pages on the Landing Pages page are a good starting point; add your own words to them.

Do Have Your Website Reviewed

Email Andrew at andrew@unicapublications.com before you start a Bing or Google campaign, with the address of the page your ads will point to. We review it to make sure it follows the rules, and we can give you marketing and optimisation tips at the same time.

Do Not Do Brand Keyword Advertising

Affiliates are not allowed to bid any brand keywords like “Trimmer Method”, “Fasting For Weight Loss and Detox”, “Food Addiction: Breaking The Habit”, “Speed Up Your Weight Loss”, and the other bonus titles.

Do Not Use Brand Words in Ad Copy

You are not allowed to use brand words in any copy. Do not list phrases like “Trimmer Method”, “Fasting For Weight Loss and Detox”, “Food Addiction: Breaking The Habit”, “Speed Up Your Weight Loss”, and the other bonus titles.

Do Not Directly Advertise to Any Trimmer Method URLs

Do not point ads at trimmermethod.com or any other Trimmer Method address. Send paid traffic to your own presell page.

Do Not Use Direct Hoplink Advertisement

Do not point ads straight at a hoplink. Use your own page instead. Direct linking is poor practice and ad networks usually reject it.

Do Follow Our Other Rules

Our general promotion rules and the claims policy apply to paid search too.

Weight-loss claims

The Trimmer Method is a weight-loss program, so these rules apply to every ad, email, post and page you use to promote it.

Do Not Promise a Weight-Loss Amount

Never promise or guarantee that anyone will lose a set number of pounds or kilos, or lose weight by a set date. Results vary from person to person.

Do Not Use Before and After Pictures

Do not use before/after pictures, body-shaming pictures or words, or pictures of people who are not real customers.

Do Not Make Medical Claims

Do not say the program treats, cures or prevents any illness or medical condition, or that it replaces advice from a doctor.

Do Say Results Vary

Make it clear that results vary, and that anyone with a medical condition, or who is pregnant or taking medication, should talk to their doctor before changing how they eat or exercise. Tracey’s 60-pound weight loss is her own story: present it as hers, not as a typical result.

Do Quote Only the Real Guarantee

The only guarantee is the 60 Day Ironclad Weight Loss Guarantee: a full refund for anyone who emails The Trimmer Method Support Team within 60 days. Do not describe any other guarantee.

Do Send Paid Social Ads to Your Own Page

Facebook and Instagram ads must go to your own presell page, be shown only to people aged 18 and over, and follow Meta’s weight-loss ad rules: no before-and-after pictures, no close-ups of body parts, and no words that suggest the viewer is overweight. Ready-made ads that follow these rules are on the Social Posts & Ads page.

Claims policy: what you can and cannot say

Use these lists when you write your own emails, posts, ads or videos. If a claim is not on the first list, check it against the other two before you publish, or email Andrew and ask.

You can say

  • The Trimmer Method costs $37, one payment, down from $49.95.
  • There is a version for men and a version for women.
  • The men’s version includes more than 20 step-by-step videos.
  • It is diet-free: Tracey says no food is forbidden and you decide when enough is enough.
  • Tracey says bread is allowed, and eating six meals a day is part of her approach.
  • It covers the 5 Fat-Making Lies: crash diets and cutting calories, low-fat, low-carb, supplements and diet foods.
  • It comes with three bonus reports worth over $85: Fasting For Weight Loss & Detox, Food Addiction: Breaking The Habit, and Speed Up Your Weight Loss.
  • It is backed by the 60 Day Ironclad Weight Loss Guarantee: a full refund if you email the support team within 60 days.
  • There are no supplements to buy, no monthly fees on the standard version and no weigh-in centres.
  • It is a digital program you can read on screen or print.

Say it carefully

  • Tracey says she lost sixty pounds and kept it off for years. It is her own story, not a typical result. Always attribute it to her and never imply the reader will lose the same.
  • Tracey says her program has worked on seventy year olds. Those are her words in the men’s letter. Quote them as hers and do not turn them into a promise.
  • Results vary from person to person.Add this to any piece that talks about losing weight.
  • One order page adds an optional Amazing Self membership: the first month is free, then $37 a month.Buyers must know which option they are choosing. Never call the standard version a subscription, and never hide the membership.
  • Talk to your doctor before you change how you eat, especially if you have a medical condition, are pregnant or take medication.Health products need this line, and it builds trust.
  • The price on the video page is one payment of $37.Do not promise any other discount, special or countdown. The page has none.

Never say or show

  • Never promise a number of pounds, kilos or dress sizes, or a date by which anyone will lose weight.
  • Never use before-and-after pictures, body close-ups or pictures of people who are not real customers.
  • Never say the program treats, cures, reverses or prevents any illness, including diabetes, or that it replaces medical advice.
  • Never invent a deadline, a countdown, a price rise or limited stock.
  • Never invent testimonials, reviews, star ratings or customer stories.
  • Never repeat the sales letter’s big promises, such as losing weight while you sleep or looking years younger.
  • Never quote earnings per click, refund rates or conversion figures to the public.
  • Never use body-shaming words, and in ads never use words that suggest the viewer is overweight, such as “Are you fat?” or “Lose your belly”.
  • Never call the product a scam or fraud, even to knock the idea down, and never pose as Tracey or the company.

Disclosure language

The law in the US (FTC), the UK (ASA) and many other countries says you must tell people when you earn money from a recommendation. Put the disclosure before the link, in plain words, where nobody can miss it. Copy the line that fits.
